Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to recognized hazards of shock, burns, and/or electrocution. a) F/P Ocean Pacific: Employee(s) had occasion to work in the engine room near the 440-volt circuit breaker panel where circuitbreaker had been removed and no means were used to keep employee(s) to the potential hazard of electrical shock, burns, and electrocution. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methodto correct his hazard is to install a plastic insert to replace the missing circuit breaker.
