of ANSI B153.11974 Requirements for the Construction, Care, and Use of
Automotive
Lifts in that the automatic lock latch was inoperative.
b)On or about 1/26/94, front bay (east side), store side; Globe semi
hydraulic single
cylinder automotive lift, cylinder number illegible (35k 30); did not
meet paragraph
3.1.10, 6.1, and 6.3 of ANSI B153.11974 Requirements for the
Construction, Care, and
Use of Automotive Lifts in that automatic lock plunger containing the
automatic lock
latch had broken away from the bolster assembly rendering the automatic
lock latch
inoperative.
c)On or about 1/26/94, rear bay (west side), center; Globe semi hydraulic
single
cylinder automotive lift, cylinder number 35k 3088; did not meet
paragraph 6.1 and 6.3
of ANSI B153.11974 Requirements for the Construction, Care, and Use of
Automotive
Lifts in that the automatic lock latch was inoperative.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is to implement a program of regular inspections and prevent
maintenance to
assure the safe operating condition of the automatic lock safety latch as
stipulated by
ANSI B153.11974 Sections 3.1.10, 6.1 and
