Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) The 200 feet of 1 inch and 3/4 inch pneumatic air hose with a pressure of 125 psi did not have a safety relief device at the source of the branch line to reduce pressure in case of hose failure, nor were safety clips used on the quick connect hose connectors. One feasible means of abatement is to install safety pins in the twist- quick connectors to prevent turning and install a pressure relief device on the branch line.
