NOTE: Abatement may include but is not limited to emboui bags or mouth-
to-mouth resuscitation masks to be easily accessible. Employees are to
be trained in use of barrier protection and equipment use.

through possible direct contact with blood or other body fluids such as
blood contaminated urine and feces:
A) Establishment: Nurses, Nurse's Aids and Laundry personnel
handled soiled linens which weee placed in unmarked bags and
then removed prior to laundrying.
NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement to
correct this hazard is to place soiled linens into leakproof meltaway
bags color coded red for placement into washing machine. Employees shall
be trained on their use including the meaning ofcolorcoding.
