Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that, employees were exposed to a fall hazard due to not having a proper ramp or passageway for safe access over a sloped embankment of boulders and rocks surrounding the storage area : Mill Area: Employees were climbing down an embankment over boulders and rocks in order to gain access to storage sheds. It is recommended that planks be secured together to form a continuous passageway at least 18 inches wide.
