Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to the hazard of falling from a scaffold due to lack of
adequate fall protection:
a)  7 Campus Drive
Employee working from a two (2) point suspension scaffold, forty three
(43) feet above stone and concrete, was exposed to a fall hazard due
to the lanyard used to secure his safety belt to lifeline having
been previously subjected to inservice loading.  Reference American
National Standards Institute A10.14-1975, Section 3, Item 3.3.8.
One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to remove belt from
service after it is exposed to an inservice load.
