Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) RVC Building Employees, using a Rigid 300 Electric Pipe threading machine, were exposed to the hazard of being caught in the machine, due to the machine not having a constant pressure foot treadle control switch as required by American National Standards Institute B208.1=1982, Sect. 4.4 which is one feasable and accepted method of abatement. Violation observed on or about 5/8/91
