Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being caught in the rotating parts of the machine: a) 1st Floor Employees were using a Rigid 300 # 1206, 1/2 hp, 120 volt electric pipe threader which did not have a constant pressure control switch as required by the American National Standards Institute B208.1-1982, Section 4.4. Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install a constant pressure foot control switch. Violation occurred on or about 4/8/91
