free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:

Employees were exposed to the hazard of being pinned and struck by
collapsed wooden frame trusses which were not structurally sound due to
insufficient bracing of those trusses. Among other methods, one feasible
and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to properly
design and install a wood bracing system as called for by the following
publication: Bracing Wood Trusses; Commentary and recommendations.
Copyright Truss Plate Institute Inc. 1976 to secure trusses properly to
the building.
