Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazard: On or about 6-26-00, 25 Quarry Drive, Auburn: The employer did not train drivers on the safe unloading procedures when operating dump trailers according to the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association bulletin #74. Among other methods, one feasible method to reduce the hazard is to: Train all operators on the End Dump Trailer Operations Bulletin #74 by the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association. Abatement documentation must be submitted for this item.
