collection system not
being designed, constructed, and maintained according to established
safety and health standards:
a.Airbench Finishing Area - On or about June 6, 1996, employees working in
the
area served by the Airbench dust collection system were exposed to fire
and/or
explosion hazards due to the dust collection system not being designed,
constructed, and maintained properly.  Among other methods, one feasible
and
acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to design,
construct, and
maintain the dust collection system according to established safety and
health
standards.
ABATEMENT NOTE:  See "NFPA 65 Standard for the Processing and Finishing of
Aluminum"
for guidance.
