Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the hazards of falls while riding in the bucket of a
loader:
a.   Rt. 89, over Clinton St., Concord, NH - An employee assisting
in the righting
of the overturned crane was working at an elevated location
from the bucket of
a loader.
ABATEMENT NOTE:  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable
abatement method
to correct this hazard is to remove the employee from the bucket of the
loader and provide
alternate means to work at elevated locations such as ladders.
