Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed
to:
(a)  Jobsite:  On 3/8/93, employers engaged in raising an end wall
of the structure were exposed to the hazard of being struck and/or caught
beneath the end wall if it fell during erection.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method
to correct this hazard is to raise the wall using a crane, wall jacks
or other handling equipment so that employees do not need to be in the
area adjacent to the wall during the erection operation.
