Section 5 (a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely
to cause death of serious physical harm to employees in that
employees engaged in melting and casting operations in the lead
room were exposed to the hazards of explosions/fires.
a)  Employees pouring molten lead into water cooled molds
during casting operations were exposed to injuries from
molten metal coming into contact with water/moisture
accumulating on the floor/deck of the area under the mold
tables from leaking water lines to the molds.
Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable method to
correct the hazard is to insure that water leaks in lines
to water cooled molds are repaired and floor dried prior
to commencing casting operations.
