Section 5 (a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to Ergonomics stressor, from performing repetitive motions that are likely to cause accumulative trauma disorders (CTD): (a) An effective ergonomic program was not implemented in that administrative controls were not effectively implemented in the comforter department, such as quilting machine operators, & bag closer, and accessory department (such as sewer shams), on or about May 8,1992.
