Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: (a)Muhlenberg Shopping Plaza Construction Site - JLG self propelled elevating work platform, used to gain access to the roof area, had a step across distance from the work platform to the roof of twenty four (24) inches. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS POSITION THE ELEVATING WORK PLATFORM TO ELIMINATE THE FALL HAZARD BY REDUCING THE STEP ACCROSS DISTANCE TO TWELVE (12) INCHES OR LESS."
