Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fatal injury from falling suspended loads. (a)Outside Vehicle Storage Area Employee(s) were working under raised vehicles suspended from a hoisting apparatus while removing parts from beneath the vehicle, exposing the employees to injury/death, on or about December 13 and 14, 1993. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO SUPPORT THE VEHICLES WITH JACK STANDS AND/OR SOME OTHER APPROVED METHOD OF SUPPORT."
