P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling off a platform that was not secured to the lifting carriage or forks: a)Construction Site - A work platform, which was elevated by a forklift, was not secured to lift carriage or forks, on or about 8/27/97. Among others, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be to utilize a personnel platform in accordance with ANSI B56.1-1993, paragraph 4.17.raph
