Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) On or about October 15, 1994 at worksite located on the East side of the establishment, an employee was exposed to being struck by or falling action when allowed to work on and/or service a small utility type trailer with a trash pump mounted on it. Blocks, jacks or stands were not used to stabilize the trailer. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable way to correct this hazard is to install rear stand or support or to use blocking, jacks or stands.
