Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: pinch point hazard. (a)On or about 12/06/94, at jobsite at 2783 Hwy. 54 West, Peachtree City, GA Employees, engaged in trash burying activities, were exposed to pinch point hazard from the hydraulic lift arms of the New Holland Skid-steer loader (L555 Deluxe, Serial No. 712314). Skid-loader was missing left side window guard screen. One feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazard, but not limited to, are: 1) The installation of and maintenance of side window screens on skid steer loaders prior to use. 2) Complete inspection of equipment and review of equipment operator manuals prior to borrowing or any use to insure that all required safeguards are in place and functioning properly.ng
