employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to burns from the Ther-Tec heating unit surfaces that were
not guarded:
a)  Haddon Crafstmen, Inc., UB 5 Binder - employees
were exposed to serious burns from hot surfaces at
the cover feed section (operator's area) and control
box area (aisle side) that were not guarded, January
7, 1993.
FEASIBLE AND USEFUL METHOD OF ABATEMENT:
Install approved guarding in operator's work area
and along the aisle side of the binder where four
electrical reset boxes are mounted.  Stress the
importance of keeping hot surfaces guarded at all
times to employees.
