Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Heatlth Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employement
which was free from recognized hazards which were likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to fall hazards of 15 feet while walking a masonry wall to
set trusses.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method
to correct this hazardous condition would be to run static lines
for employees to connect their lanyards to prevent possible falls.
