Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish his employees employment and a place of
employment which was free from recognized hazards which were likely
to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees
were exposed to falls in excess of 10 feet while working on a 2 X 12
wood plant installing sheathing.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazardous condition would be to equip employees with
safety belts and lanyards or adjust guardrails to prevent possible
falls.
