Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employee(s) were exposed to lacerations from flying plastic fragments: (a) The hazard of working at heights from the elevated bucket (used as a temporary work platform) of a Kubota, Model M1870, Loader Tractor, on or about 6/19/95. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the manufacturer's guidance in the "Operators Manual," page 5. The instruction reads "Caution Do Not Lift or Carry Personnel on a Loader or Attachment; a slip or fall could cause bodily injury."
