On or about 8/24/01, employees on a scissor lift were exposed to the
hazard of falling
more than six feet to the ground.
Among other methods, feasible and acceptable, to correct this hazard,
include but are not
limited to:
1. Conduct training on the safe use of the scissors lift as per
manufacturer's operating
instructions:
2. Utilize the guardrail chains provided as part of the guard rail system
of the scissors
lift, and ensure that the top rails on the other three sides are adjusted
to 42 inches high,
as per manufacturer's operating instructions (ANSI/SIA A92.6-1990).
