Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees are exposed to serious injury because of; two (2) Weaver manufactured hydraulic automoive lifts were not equipped with mechanical locking device to hold the lift in the fully extended position, and prevent downward drifting and/or falling of lifts. The deivce shall have a safety factor of not less than 3, based on the rated load capacity: (a) Service Area; 9-10-91
