a Genie Aerial
Lift, Model # Z45/25J, 4 x 4 as a crane to lift window mullions off the
rack of the pickup truck
and to set them in place exposing the employees to falls of approximately
twenty-five (25) feet
to the ground below or being crushed by the lift.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT
METHOD WOULD BE TO TRAIN THE EMPLOYEES AND TO COMPLY WITH THE
OPERATOR'S MANUAL FOR GENIE AERIAL LIFTS, MODEL Z-45/25J AND THE
ANSI/SIA STANDARD, A92.2-1992 FOR VEHICLE MOUNTED ELEVATING AND
ROTATING WORK PLATFORMS, NEITHER ALLOWS AERIAL LIFTS TO BE USED
AS CRANES.
