Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were
exposed to:
(a) Employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by a moving
vehicle or falling from the aerial lift basket in that the employer
permitted an aerial lift, Model AL-50-4HM, SN 17755-8-89, mounted on
a GMC Diesel 7000 Truck, to be operated on a 14 degree sloping driveway
with the lift basket elevated andthe boom extended down slope, over
the left front side of the truck crating an unstable platform.
A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, amoung other
methods, is to restrict placemnt of vehicle with boom extended to
level ground or slopes no greater than 5 degrees.
