Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to explosion hazard: (a) Frequent and regular inspections of Fail-safes on (3) Ross Dual Flow Ovens are not performed to insure that they are properly maintained and kept in working order. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to develop and implement a maintenance program which includes that all safety devices on ovens to be inspected at intervals of not less than twice a month by a expecially appointed, properly instructed employee, and not less than once a year by representatives of the oven manufacturers.
