There was a crack in the blower mounting unit on the ET II chromic
acid evaporating tank, approximately 8 feet above the ground.
When the pump from the chrome plating tank was energized,
concentrated
chromic acid was sprayed on the aisle way below,
exposing
employees.  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable
abatement method to correct this hazard is to change the mounting
unit.
