The hazard of crushing injuries at the southeast automobile twin
post Weaver hydraulic lift in the service department.  The lift
was not provided with an automatic mechanical locking device
to prevent the lift and a car from dropping rapidly in case of
a hydraulic failure.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method
to correct this hazard is to modify the lift with a system
containing automatic mechanical locks.
