Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a)At Furnace F148 of the OL-5 Unit where a nitrogen hose was observed to have breaks in three places. (b)At Furnace F-148 of the OL-5 Unit where a steam hose was observed with a hole spouting hot water, thus, exposing passing employees to the potential of being hit with hot water and/or steam. Feasible abatement methods to correct this hazard may include, but not limited to the replacement of the damaged hoses.
