Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) Bay #3, South End; 5 ton American Monorail Crane, was in operation without brakes to stop the trolley or bridge. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to reference ANSI B30.11, MONORAIL Systems and Underhung Cranes, section 11-1.10.1 Brakes for Bridge and Trolley Travel. b) Bay #4, Southwest End; 5 ton American Monorail Crane, push button pendant control was not clearly marked for identification of functions. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to reference ANSI B30.11, MONORAIL Systems and Underhung Cranes, section 11-1.11.3 Controllers, (paragraph d).ragraph
