Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Pechanga casino - floor level at 2 line and F column: An employee in a scissor light was observed standing on the top of the guardrail to gain additional height. He was wearing a fall harness which was attached to the top rail of the scissor light. The practice of standing on the guardrail is prohibited by the manufacturer because it is a recognized tipping hazard. On or about August 2, 2001. Abatement Note - Among other methods, one feasible method to reduce this hazard is to: Train all employees to follow national consensus standard ANSI/SIA A92-6, and the manufacturer's operating manual.ng
