a)Employees, working in the road, were not wearing a traffic vest where
there was
an exposure to moving traffic.
b)Training was not provided to employees in the recognition of unsafe
conditions
in work zone safety.
Among other methods, recognized and feasible means of abatement to correct
this hazard is to:
a)  Ensure that employees who direct traffic are provided with a traffic
vest and suitable warning
signs and provided with training that enables them to recognize and
control hazards associated
with vehicles; and, b) Comply with the applicable elements required by the
Manual
on Uniform
Traffic Control Devices (Millennium Edition), June 2001, when performing
work that affects
highway and street traffic.
