Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to scalding hazards: Kitchen - On or about 2/13/03, an employee was breaking down the line for the taco products when an "H" bar fell into the water well and scalded his hand in an attempt to retrieve the bar. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to revise the training to include avoiding scalding hazards, how items should be retrieved from scalding liquids and the documentation and certification of training.tion
