Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazard of being injured when aircraft flew in proximity to crane(s) booms which were working at 300 feet from the main approach runway. a) JOBSITE LOCATION: COCA-COLA NEW ADDITION AT 45 INDUSTRIAL DRIVE, NORTHAMPTON MA: EAST SIDE, STEEL ERECTION. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO CONTACT THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION AND FILE FORM NUMBER 7460-1, NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND OR ALTERATION UNDER PART 77 OF FEDERAL AVIATIONS REGULATIONS FOR OBJECTS AFFECTING NAVIGABLE AIRSPACE AND TO FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES SET FORTH IN THEIR STANDARDS.
