Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck by and/or struck against hazard created by suspending unattended load without taking precautions: (a)Monorail Loading Station - An Employee left his position at the controls of the over head hoist with the load suspended to a height of six feet at the tongue end of the trailer frame, on or about June 29, 2005. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO KEEP THE TRAILER FRAME ON THE FLOOR UNTIL THE MONORAIL SYSTEM IS READY FOR THE LOAD." VERIFICATION REQUIREDTION
