Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards associated with the erection of roof trusses as follows: (a) West 26th Street and Colonial Drive, Erie, PA; the flat roof trusses did not have any top chord lateral or diaganol bracing. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD OF ABATEMENT TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO FOLLOW THE TRUSS BRACING INSTRUCTIONS OF THE BSCI-1-03 PAMPHLET.
