Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards associated with the erection of roof trusses: (a) RAS Auto Body Shop; employees erecting roof trusses were exposed to falling/toppling trusses because the following bracing was missing: (1) An insufficient number of top chord braces for the size of the trusses. (2) No daignol bracing. (3) No bottom chord bracing. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND USEFUL METHOD TO CORRECT THESE HAZARDS IS TO FOLLOW THE BSCI-1-03 PAMPHLET EXPLAING IN DETAIL HOW TO ERECT ROOF TRUSSES.
