Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious harm to employees. Front of Menard's employee was exposed to the hazards to falls while standing on the midrail of a scissor lift at the Menard's job site. A feasible means of abatement would be to provide training of safe work practices in accordance with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.6-1979 Standard for Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms and prohibit standing on midrails or other objects to gain additional height. "NO DOCUMENTATION OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM"
