Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed fall hazards while working in a self propelled extensible boom aerial lift without any fall arrest. 20 feet above grade - Employees at the Auto Nation jobsite were exposed to fall hazards while riding up/down in an aerial lift. No fall protection was used. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.5-1992 Standard for Boom-supported Elevating Work Platforms and have the employee wear fall arrest anytime that they are in the aerial lift. NO DOCUMENTATION OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
