29 CFR 1960.8(a) of the Executive Order 12196 of Feb. 26, 1980: The head of each agency shall furnish to each employee employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm: A LEAKING ROOF ALLOWED WATER TO ENTER THE OCCUPIED BUILDING'S SLEEPING QUARTERS, EATING AREA, ALARM ROOM, CORRIDORS AND TRUCK BAY WORK AND STORAGE AREAS. ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD OF ABATEMENT WOULD BE TO REPAIR/REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE FLAT-PITCHED ROOF.
