Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling: (a) Location - 25 Frontage Road, Andover, MA: On July 30, 1998 an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while working within a crane rental scissors lift #186, 25 feet high: Among other feasible and acceptable methods to correct this hazard iclude, but are not limited to: 1. Implement and develop a company policy to ensure compliance with ANSI/ISIA A92.6-1990, 7.9-3 & 7.7-2, and the manufacturers safe operating procedures to ensure that the scissors Lift is only operated after all guard rails are in place.
