Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling and being crushed: (a) Location - Jobsite, 297 Billerica Road, Chelmsford, MA: On or about 6/30/99, employees were observed riding within the buckets of the Linc Belt 2800 Crawler and the Takeuchi TB070 Crawler. Among other methods, feasible abatement methods include to develop and implement a company policy including disciplinary procedures which prohibit employees from using equipment in a manner other than what it was designated for such as riding in the buckets of machinery.
