Lifts- Safety Requirements for Installation and Service:
a)Install or repair automatic mechanical safety locking device on lift.
b)Instruct and train employees in the proper use of mechanical locking
device for
hydraulic lifts.
c)Conduct periodic inspections of the lift as recommended by the lift
manufacturer,
to insure that the safety locking device and all other components are in
safe
operating condition.
d)Post manufacturers operating manual in the service area for reference.
29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at the
time of
inspection, no certification is required.
