Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling: a) On or about 8/05/02, West side of Broadway Development on Broadway near Thruway (Route 90), employee was observed standing on the midrail of the JLG aerial lift to perform some work on the sheeting girts and was exposed to falls of approximately twenty (20) feet to the ground below. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS FOR THE EMPLOYER TO CONDUCT TRAINING ON THE SAFE USE OF THE SCISSORS LIFT AS SPECIFIED BY ANSI/SIA A92.6-1999, SECTION 8.5 ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIREDATION
