Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to an injury from an unintended dropping of the crane load to the floor by use of the limit switch as a daily operation control: (a)Plant G, Bay 2 - Employee(s) using the upper limit switch as a means of stopping the upward travel of the load so that it could pass over the bunker silos that were to be poured with concrete. AMONG OTHER METHODS,ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO USE THE CONTROL ON THE PENDENT TO STOP THE UPPER MOVEMENT OF THE LOADS AND NOT THE UPPER LIMIT SWITCH.
