Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The

employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to the hazards of vehicle ejection/impact while
motor vehicles were
in motion should the vehicle have to come to a sudden, unplanned stop:
(a)  Dobbs International Services, Denver, CO:  On or before 3-19-96,
employees were exposed to the hazards of vehicle ejection/impact injuries
and
death, in that seat belts, seat belt assemblies, and seat belt assembly
anchorages were not provided for employee use in truck # 7730 (Truck Year
1974, Make Ford, Model F-700, Serial# F75EVT37730), and required as
referenced in Colorado Revised Statute Title 42 for Motor Vehicles Section
393.93 and Federal Motor Vehicle Standard Number 208.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard
is, install seat belts, seat belt assemblies, and seat belt assembly
anchorages.  Follow the
manufacturers recommendations pertaining to installation and Federal Motor
Vehicle Safety
Standard Number 208 (relating to installation of seat belt assemblies) and
Federal Motor
Vehicle Safety Standard Number 210 (relating to installation of seat belt
assembly
anchorages).
