Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards associated with the carbon dioxide storage tank ventilation manifold: Garage Area The vent manifold piping system and shut-off valves were located on the floor of the garage and were not protected to prevent employees from accidentally tripping on them and opening a shut-off valve or protection from the servicing vehicles backing into the garage within close proximity of the manifold shut-off valves.f
